“This coffee is so good I'd drink it out of a dumpster."
- Pete Andrews, Submergentmusic
"
There was a time when I considered myself a coffee lover. I would go out & purchase a cup (or 2) every day. On rare occasions, I was actually known to brew a pot in my home. Ah, the delicious taste of store bought pre-ground coffee. Then, by chance, I tried a cup of your coffee and I found out that all of these years I have not been a coffee lover but a coffee drinker. NOW, I'm a coffee lover.
The difference is in the bean. Freshness does matter. There is something magical when you are grinding up some beans for a pot of Joe (once named for the Admiral Joe Daniels if myth were to be believed but I name it after a certain Bean proprietor) and knowing that they were roasted just the day before. Coffee should have flavor that can stand alone. I used to take my sugar with coffee & cream. Now I drink coffee!
If people are satisfied with pre-ground coffee of indeterminate origin, roasted sometime unknown, I feel sorry for them. Now that I have had actual coffee that has flavor I am never going back. Thank you for bringing this wonderful elixir into my world."

“Who in their right mind would try a brew called "Barbaric", particularly when you can only handle decaf? A man that loves coffee and knows that even decaf can be great when done right. That's who, and that would be me.
My sister has said for years that I like sludge. I refer to it as full-flavored as opposed to the brown water served as coffee in too many restaurants, convenience stores and homes. After trying the Bean at my house, even she wanted a pound.
The Barbaric Bean decaf is an epicure's delight. Brewing it at home strikes all the senses, starting with the sound of the dripping pot to the exquisite taste, but particularly the olfactory nerves. My 19 year old son actually walked into the house one day and immediately stated "You're making Bean. Did you make enough for me?", and he's not normally a coffee drinker.
The Bean proprietors tried explaining the science to me including the quality of the beans and the roasting techniques, but frankly, I don't care if the beans are grown in Antarctica and roasted over an open fire as long as it passes my tests of aroma and flavor, and that it does, in a big way, and if you knew the size of my proud Etruscan nose, you'd immediately acknowledge my expertise. Long Live the Bean!”

“We were introduced to Barbaric Bean coffee as a Christmas gift. We were Starbucks fanatics (and still are), but we enjoy the freshness and flavors of the Barbaric Bean coffees. Joe takes pride in his coffee roasting, asks for feedback and has made several recommendations that we have enjoyed. We usually wait until the last minute to order over the internet, and our shipments have arrived promptly. Even with shipping costs, a great value. Enjoy!”
- Mark Clark of Chester Springs, PA
"Two things have changed my life - Jesus and Barbarbic Bean Coffee. Once my life had little meaning and I drank store bought coffee. At a church service, I accepted Jesus, a life changing experience. Several years later, at a church service, I accepted a free sample of Babaric Bean Coffee. After tasting Barbaric Bean's fresh roasted coffee, it was like a great weight of bad, stale coffee drinking was lifted from me. Now I can't wait to wake up every morning and click the "brew" button on my coffee maker. Just like Jesus' mercies are fresh every morning, so is my Barbaric Bean coffee.
Thank you, Jesus, for salvation and thank you, Joe, for fresh coffee! "

"I just want to say thank you so much for the coffee! I only have a couple
soldiers that drink coffee, but since I got yours everyone has been wanting to
try some and they keep coming back for more. My room has turned into a coffee
shop! I am looking forward to coming by your coffee shop when I get home
from Iraq."
